The beautiful campus offers ample opportunities for a variety of styles. There are the historic oak trees, the gentle archways, the intriguing amphitheater, and, of course, the architecturally diverse Quad.
CITY-BROOKS COMMUNITY PARK,
BATON ROUGE
With its open area under the vast canopies of oak trees, this a great location for family portraits. There are also a few other locations within the park that provide great portrait opportunities.
CAJUN VILLAGE,
SORRENTO
It’s amazing to see how many diverse locations fit into one relatively close area. Cajun Village provides a more rustic backdrop for those looking for that style.
ST. JAMES WELCOME CENTER,
GRAMERCY
This location offers a lot of rustic opportunities. There’s also an Acadian-style building that makes for a nice backdrop. When the lighting is in our favor, the boardwalk is a great option as well.
ROSEDOWN PLANTATION,
ST. FRANCISVILLE
There are so many locations on the grounds that provide ample photography opportunities. Among them are the notable oak alley, the beautiful antebellum home, the perfectly lit greenhouse. There’s truly something for everyone. There is a grounds fee of $7/person. (Photographer Travel Fee: $40)
FONTAINEBLEAU STATE PARK,
MANDEVILLE
This gorgeous Louisiana state park boasts a beautiful alley of historic oak trees dripping in Spanish moss. There are also other areas by Lake Pontchartrain that provide nice backdrop opportunities. There is a day-use fee of $3/person applies upon entry. (Photographer Travel Fee: $40)
DOWNTOWN BATON ROUGE
There are several locations within downtown Baton Rouge that offer different options based on different styles. There’s the state capitol, the Old State Capitol, spots along the Mississippi River, as well as several little areas here and there throughout the area. Parking fees may apply.
HOUMAS HOUSE,

The options for portrait spots are infinite at Houmas House! The lush gardens, the southern-inspired architecture, as well as hidden places and spaces throughout, make this an absolute dream of a place to take pictures. There is a grounds fee of $110 for the senior, a parent, and the photographer. For special events like an engagement, there’s a grounds fee of $400.
CAPITOL PARK MUSEUM,
BATON rOUGE
This location provides a more modern aesthetic, while also providing some greenery in the background. We don’ t have to go far in order to incorporate both styles into a session. Available after 4 pm.
PERKINS ROWE,
BATON ROUGE
In a relatively small area, there are many “urban” looks that can be achieved. It’s best to schedule a session here first thing in the morning before traffic picks up.

Step back in time as we venture throughout the property and locate the perfect spots. There are historic buildings, wide open spaces, and that extra something special that comes with simply being on the grounds. There is an $80 charge to utilize the grounds for portraits (arranged by the client).
